My research work involves developing models for the petroleum industry using deep learning for operational excellence. I developed an 1D CNN model which predicts crude oil properties from spectral data. My current work focuses on Explainable AI and integrating Physics in my models. My work has been presented in conferences in Busan, Korea and Vancouver, Canada.

During my time at Shell, I worked on Experimental and Analytical methods to quantify catalyst attrition in fluidized bed reactors. My role involved conducting experiments with a variety of spherical catalysts in a spherical reactor. I used the data from the experiments and implemented analytical methods to quantify attrition and create data visualizations and analytics for the team.
I also worked on developing a new schema of experiments which reduced sample size and duration of experiment

The core objective of this project was to develop a real-time model of the arterial tree, assisting physicians in diagnosing diseased arteries rapidly. The comprehensive model encapsulated 61 major arteries, along with terminal ones, and it was capable of computing the pressure waveform and blood flow across the arterial tree. My primary responsibility was modelling terminal arteries using Lumped (Windkessel) Models in MATLAB. Additionally, my work was instrumental in modelling the flow and pressure boundary conditions of the heart for input into the Aorta.

Pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Western University, I specialize in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into reactor and process systems. Expected to complete my studies by 2026, I have published two significant papers and presented my work at international conferences like DYCOPs in Busan, South Korea, and CCEC in Vancouver. This journey has equipped me with expertise in Deep Learning, Data Analytics, and Modelling.

I worked on various research projects including Computational Fluid Dynamics and Life Cycle Analysis of Biomass Pyrolysis. This is where i was introduced to AI and its applications in engineering and i worked on using auto-encoders for fault detection, my first project.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western University, I had the privilege of working under the supervision of Dr. Sohrab Rohani and Dr. Dominic Pjontek. My responsibilities included leading Process Control Labs, where I instructed a group of 52 students on process control experiments. In addition, I supervised four Capstone Design Projects for a group of 16 students, providing individualized guidance and support to students in their Chemical Engineering Design projects. These experiences honed my abilities in technical instruction, mentorship, and project management.

During my internship at Delta Step E-learning Pvt Ltd, I leveraged my programming and chemistry knowledge to develop an automated question creator for their e-learning platform. This involved creating a comprehensive database of possible chemicals and reactions, along with an automated reaction balancer. All the development was carried out using Python 3, strengthening my application of Python in real-world, practical scenarios. My work directly contributed to the platform's capabilities, enhancing its interactivity and educational effectiveness.
